Back in June I was blessed to have 3 Baby Showers in 3 different areas to celebrate sweet Kailyn before she was born. I made the invitations for the shower that my mom and sister hosted. We went with a garden theme because that’s the theme of her nursery.
I was really excited to make the invitations, but the only problem with making my own is that I was even more of a perfectionist than I normally am!
I had to get the colors and the layout just right. Here’s the first attempt that was cute, but didn’t make the cut…
Oooooh, glitter! Gotta have some sparkle! I folded the leaves down the center and curled the flower petals up a bit to add some dimension. Everything was adhered with glue dots.
Let’s celebrate her mom with a special day!
Here are a few variations with different flower centers. I like the clear best. 🙂
Of course the envelope had to be spruced up. The butterfly stamp is Martha Stewart and I’m not sure what brand the ladybug is. They were impulse buys at Michael’s. But I’ve gotta say I am not happy with the quality. They did the job but I couldn’t use dye ink with them…it pooled up on the stamp. I had to use pigment ink to get even coverage. (Another reminder of why CTMH stamps are so amazing!)
