Hello!
I feel so relieved that I finally shared Kailyn’s nursery with you…now I can share what else I’ve been up to!
I got some fun new goodies from Close to my Heart, which will be available to you in just a few days, on Feb. 1! The first item I played with was a new background stamp set called Flight of the Arrows. One of the stamps reminded me of those arrows that go through hearts, so I thought I’d use it for a Valentine’s Day card. I stamped the arrows pointing up toward the heart 🙂
I paired it with a couple of current products. The Ruby red paper is from the Proplayer paper pack, which will still be available in the new catalog. And I also used the heart stamp from the Cloud Nine cardmaking kit, which is only available for a few more days! (More details on it below—it’s an awesome deal!) The heart die-cuts come in the kit, but you can also cut them on your Cricut (all of the stamp shapes in the Cloud Nine set are on the Artiste cartridge). The Slate Washi Tape and red glitter gems (retired) were the perfect simple embellishments.
I inked around the edges of the hearts direct-to-paper with my stamp pad in Ruby ink. Then I stamped in Slate ink and added 3D foam tape (I love CTMH’s foam tape, it’s the perfect thickness). I used my new Wink of Stella Giltter Marker (Clear) that I got for Christmas. It’s such a subtle fine glitter, it’s quite lovely in person and not too girly 🙂 The perfect touch for this (semi-)masculine card. I tried to catch the glitter on camera, but it was tricky.
If you’ve been inspired by what I create I hope you’ll order through me! The Close to my Heart items are available on my CTMH website (some not ’til Feb. 1) and the other links are my Amazon affiliate links. 🙂 Rest assured I only link to items that I use and truly love.
Here is the whole stamp set that comes in the Cloud Nine cardmaking kit. Cute, right?! Plus all of them coordinate with cuts on the Artiste Cricut cartridge!
