Hello!
Today I have a simple and elegant baby card to share with you, made with CTMH’s Artfully Sent Cricut cartridge. I still can’t get enough of this cart–it really makes it oh-so-easy to make cards, while at the same time elevating them the next level!
I wanted to add some sparkle in just a few spots. So first I cut the pink base at 7″ height. (It’s designed to be 5″x7″). Then I cut a white piece slightly smaller than 5×7, this will be what shows through the front of the card.
Next I set the white insert inside and close the card. I used the cuts on the front as a guide to make pencil marks on the white insert–this would tell me where to add the glitter pieces.
I used 1/2″ glitter tape from American Crafts (I wanted it a little wider than CTMH’s 1/4″ shimmer trim). This stuff is great because it’s self-adhesive. I just stuck it down right over my pencil guides.
Once the glitter tape was adhered where I wanted it, I added adhesive to the inside of the card base. This way I could get really close to the cut-outs so they stay down well. Be sure you don’t get too close to the edge of the card since the insert is slightly smaller.
Tada! An elegant card for a sweet little baby 🙂 I added a bitty sparkle in each corner as well. Because, well, I can never have too much bling!
If you are a cardmaker, the Artfully Sent Cricut collection is seriously your best friend. It has been a huge time-saver for me. As a momma to a toddler and having a full-time job, my crafty time has been significantly reduced. But this cartridge allows me to still get my craft on! (Which helps keep me sane.)
