Hello!
Last month I was lucky enough to attend a 3-day scrapbooking weekend in Estes Park, Colorado. It was SO. MUCH. FUN! My sister-in-law and I were gifted the trip with 6 other wonderful ladies. I missed my girl and hubby a TON, but when you’re looking at her cute face the whole time you’re scrapping (plus surrounded by snow and mountains outside), it makes being away a little easier 🙂 Plus I got a ton done.
Here is the first page I completed, from 1.5 years ago. My, how the time flies…
Some of the ladies there completed upwards of 40 and 50 pages. I, however, spent probably way too much time on each page. I completed 15 scrapbook pages. Being a detail-oriented perfectionist has its pros and cons 🙂 I LOVE all of my layouts and am happy with how much I completed, so that’s all that matters!
I used the Brushed paper pack, complements, and assortment from Close to my Heart. They are now retired, but you can still snag the Brushed Complements and Brushed Assortment on CLEARANCE (plus a ton of other awesome products!) for over 50% off. I think it’s actually closer to 75% off. Score!
The Brushed Complements are vellum stickers, but I wanted them to stand out more and i wanted to put some on foam tape. So I stuck them onto white cardstock, then cut them out. Took a while (told you I spend too long!), but I am happy with the outcome. And hey, when you have a whole 3-day weekend without kids hanging on you, you can spend as long as you want on your pages, right?! 😉
I like to add the date to all of my scrapbook layouts, but sometimes I don’t want it very noticeable. Here, I used a roller date stamp to stamp the date discreetly in the corner. Close to my Heart has a few different types of roller stamps to choose from HERE >
I hope you enjoyed my cute little piggy-tail girl today. I have more scrapbook layouts AND cards to share with you soon.
