Hello!
Today my Blog Hops with Heart friends and I have some fun Halloween projects to share with you! You may have come from Kelly’s blog. If not, continue on and you’ll make your way in a circle to see everyone’s projects.
Today I am sharing two pocket scrapbook layouts using photos from Fall 2015.
This first layout is from the pumpkin patch. We have a GREAT farm up the road from us that does a great job in the fall with hayrides to the pumpkin patch, corn mazes, yummy food, etc.
My daughter had just turned 2 and it was her first time going to the pumpkin patch and picking out her pumpkin. My husband’s parents (Mimi and Papa) were in town from San Diego and got to join us for all the fun, which was very special for them.
One of my favorite ways to embellish pocket pages (and traditional layouts) is with wood veneers. I backed these word bubble veneers with coordinating paper so there is a little pop of color showing through. I also like to add my embellishments on TOP of the page protectors.
I made my own “Project Life”/pocket page cards with regular patterned paper. I like how the striped paper tied in all the bright colors from my daughter’s jacket.
I love CTMH’s flip flaps! You can use them on traditional 12×12 layouts or they work perfectly on pocket pages. They come in multiple sizes, here I used the 3″x4″ one. I often have a hard time deciding which photo to use if there are several similar ones. I don’t want to necessarily “feature” all of them, but the flip flaps allow me to still include them.
I feel like I should also note here that the flip flaps are made of the same high-quality material as CTMH’s memory protectors. I LOVE their memory protectors – they are truly the best I’ve found on the market. They’re nice and sturdy and a true 12×12 size.
Here’s a look at the full 2-page layout.
This next layout is a 1-page layout. I used the same paper and colors for our Halloween trick-or-treating photos. (I forget the manufacturers of the paper but it was from last year.)
I love this jeweled ladybug. I got it from Hobby Lobby quite some time ago and finally got to use it!
I used the same Halloween paper as a title for this layout as well. The little tiny ladybugs are by Jolee’s Boutique. I had a bunch left over from when I decorated my daughter’s nursery, which was/is a garden/bug theme. 🙂
Now head on over to Stephanie’s blog to see what masterpiece she came up with. Be sure to hop all the way around – these ladies are all so very talented!
Although there is not a video for these layouts, I have been creating lots of videos lately. Be sure to subscribe to my YouTube Channel!
