Hello!
Welcome to the February Blog Hops With Heart Blog Hop! This month our theme is “Pretty in Pink” to go along with Close to my Heart’s Pretty In Pink special for the month. (But our projects don’t necessarily coincide with the items on sale.) I always say this, but I’ll say it again: this is a truly talented group of ladies that I get to hop with each month – be sure to check out all of their projects! They will wow you! You may have come from Lalia, but if not, keep going and you’ll make your way around in a circle!
I am sharing a card and gift container that I made using a Gerbera Daisy cut on CTMH’s Flower Market cartridge. Can you guess what I upcycled to use as the gift container? Watch my video tutorial to find out!
You can watch my video tutorial below (or on YouTube – be sure to subscribe!). Keep scrolling to see more still shots of the card and gift container and to continue the hop.
I used a retired CTMH paper pack for the black-and-white polka dot paper and the vellum. But our Basic Fundamentals paper pack or Silver and Gold paper pack with our vellum would be lovely for this design! (Our vellum comes 12×12 which is nice for us scrapbookers. A lot of what you can find on the market is 8x5x11.)
I love the dark, crisp image that CTMH’s Archival Black ink provides. It will stain your stamps a bit, but the end result is well worth it in my opinion!
This Gerbera Daisy makes me swoon. It’s such a statement piece and is so easy to cut with your Cricut! All of the layers are part of one “cut” from the Flower Market cartridge, so you size the largest piece how you want and the rest will remain proportionate. There are a lot of cuts on this cartridge that are great as stand-alone statement elements or you can combine them to create fun wreaths, bouquets, and more.
P.S. There’s a FLASH SALE on my CTMH website right now for only 24 hours! It goes until 2:00 pm Pacific Time tomorrow (Saturday 2/24). Shop the sale >
