I was going through some artwork and realized I never shared this card here! There are some soon-to-retire and some retired products here.
You could use so many different stamps with this design! I used the Feb. 2018 stamp of the month, Sunny Thoughts, which is now retired, but I am sure you can find something that you already have that would work!
I used a few fun techniques and mixed a lot of different paper kits and products. Here is a breakdown…
- To make the rays I cut 1-1/4” x 6” strips and then cut at a diagonal.
- Embellishments are gold glitter gems and gold shimmer brush on rays (although you can’t tell in photo, it’s such a pretty, perfect shimmer in real life)!
- The blue paper is Pacifica from the Adventure Fundamentals paper pack. (Central Park also has a great Pacifica pattern. (Side note: Pacifica is retiring on Aug. 31 so if you love it like I do, be sure to snag the inks!
- Yellow papers are from Whimsy fundamentals and Stargazer (retired). There’s a great yellow sunburst pattern in the Central Park paper packet that would work well for this design!
- Clouds are from the Artiste Cricut cartridge. It’s now retired, but Artistry has a few cloud cuts.
- I inked the yellow edges with canary ink and blue with Broken China Distress Oxide ink (it was a closer match to the lighter shade of Pacifica).
