I made sure to color the sides of the Scottie as well so that the natural wood didn’t show on the side. I used a piece of ribbon and tiny bell as his collar, which came from a Christmas tag from a prior year. (I always save the tags I receive with potentially reusable elements!)
Now let’s move on to the background. I used a star background stamp that’s now retired, but the current Snug Backgrounds or Repeatable Backgrounds would work perfectly, to add a starry sky behind this doggie. Pebble gray ink is a perfect subtle color for this. I added some red glittery Stickles to a few of the stars. Our Shimmer Brushes would also add some lovely shine.
The trees and red snowflake are also elements from previous years’ tags that I disassembled. And the doggie is anchored on some shiny foil tape and shimmer trim.

I stamped the inside of the card and the envelope with a Christmas greeting. This particular greeting is retired, but the current Christmas Blessings stamp set would be an even better replacement! The bright Candy Apple ink would be a great color choice.
Thanks so much for visiting today! Below I’ve linked some of the products I used. Some are only available for a limited time.
