This scrapbook layout was SO. MUCH. FUN! I’ve been drawn to mixed media scrapbooking lately so I decided to try my hand at it. It’s not my typical style but I’m sure I’ll be doing more of it!
But First – #The100DayProject Intro
I am participating in #The100DayProject, meaning I will work on my chosen “project” each day for 100 days, even if it’s just for 5-10 minutes! There are artists of all kinds participating, from painting to sewing to hand lettering and everything in between. My project is #100daysofplayingwithpaper. I plan to focus on scrapbooking, but will mix in other paper crafting projects along the way.
Today is day 3. I will only be posting finished projects on my blog, but if you follow me on Instagram I’ll be posting more about what I’ve worked on each day. You can join in if you want! There’s a wonderful, supportive Facebook Group that you can join.
Featured Project
I used CTMH’s March Craft With Heart scrapbook subscription kit as my jumping off point. Instead of following the layout as intended, I decided to do just one page instead of two, using the provided base page, paper, and embellishments to create my own layout.

This Craft With Heart layout kit matches CTMH’s So Much Happy collection, so I added more paper from my So Much Happy paper pack and the matching complements pack. I also used a ton of other embellishments from my stash that I’ve been hoarding for quite some time! Felt good to do a little stash busting!
I added splatters 3 ways with different mediums – gelato, CTMH ink pad, and acrylic paint, and played around gesso and lots of embellishments.
