Hello!
Do you need a unique idea for the first page of your scrapbook? The first page of your scrapbook goes by many different terms, but I most frequently see it called an Intro page or Title page. Either way, this first page of your scrapbook is typically a representation of the scrapbook album as a whole. I like to make a special page that is different from the types of layouts that are inside my scrapbook album. (Keep scrolling for my process video.)
I saw an idea on Close to my Heart’s blog that really resonated with me: Use a 12″ x 12″ photo as the base page of your scrapbook layout. What a fun and unique idea!! They showed it as a regular scrapbook page with journaling and everything (which I love), but I decided this would be the perfect solution for my album intro page.
I create one album for each year, so I wanted the year for this scrapbook album to be clearly featured on the page. The 12″ x 12″ photo is the star of the show and serves as the base of my scrapbook layout, and then I added embellishments right on top of it. Don’t you just love how the bright colors and florals of the Craft On collection complement the photo, yet do not distract? Such a fun and unique way to add an intro page to your album!
Intro Pages Are a Glimpse Into Your Scrapbooks
Your scrapbook may be organized differently than mine. Maybe you do several scrapbook albums per year. Or you might be working on a mini album that focuses on one particular event or theme.
Think of your intro page as a glimpse into the scrapbook — a quick cue to the viewer of what’s in store for them. You may not use photos at all — maybe it’s just the year or the months really big with some fun embellishments. Or you can add a title for the destination of your vacation with a few of your favorite photos. I have done many types of intro pages for my scrapbook albums. That should be another post!
How do you do your scrapbook titles pages? I’d love to hear in the comments!

OOPS DISCLAIMER: I changed my mind SEVERAL times on placement and made a big goof that I had to fix after filming. See how I go about moving things around and fixing mistakes! (Spoiler: scrapbooking on a photo is very forgiving!) Enjoy!
