Hello, Friends,
Today I have an unboxing video to share with you, showing the new scrapbooking goodies I ordered from Close to my Heart’s new catalog. (Do you recognize anyone on the cover?!) However, first, in case you haven’t heard, I wanted to share some news with you. I already shared this over on my Facebook Page and Instagram, so if you’re not already following me over there, I suggest you do so, because I forget to post here on my blog regularly. (I’m really trying to get better about it!)
Here we go…
I am heartbroken to inform you that after 40 years, Close To My Heart is closing its doors. 
The March/April catalog will be the last CTMH catalog in which to purchase from me. The catalog is amazing and you can see a walkthrough of what I got in the YouTube video below. Don’t worry, there are still lots of fun new goodies available!
In March there is also a Cardstock Carnival sale, which is always popular! This is a great opportunity to stock up on your favorite colors. If you’re not familiar with CTMH’s cardstock, it is two-toned and has a white core. This means that there is a darker color on one side and a lighter color on the other. The white core means there are lots of fun techniques you can do with it and it also cuts FABULOUSLY well on a Cricut and other cutting machines. I have tried many papers with my Cricut and none even come close to CTMH cardstock.
I’ve had a bit of time now to process this news, and while this was certainly a shock, I am at peace with it and feel like good things are to come! Rest assured, I will continue on my scrapbooking journey! I will keep sharing on YouTube and the Creative Design Team will keep doing what we do in our amazing membership community. (Hint: many have asked…and we WILL be opening up for registration again soon!)
In the meantime, I invite you to join my Playing With Paper private group of customers where I will be sharing more details than I share publicly. I’m sharing stock updates and will share other updates as I learn more information. I will keep this group active and transition it to whatever my next journey will be.

Here’s my unboxing video showing close-ups of all the new scrapbooking supplies I purchased. I’m sooooo excited about the travel-themed collection. I’ll definitely be sharing lots of scrapbook ideas using it in the next couple of months. Enjoy!

Also, since the announcement that CTMH is closing, many ink pads, albums, page protectors, and other staples sold out. I do know that inks and re-inkers have been re-ordered. Again, I will provide stock updates in my Private Customer Group.
